How do I choose the right playmat for my child?
Your playmat should suit both your functional needs and aesthetics. For babies, toddlers, or young children, choose something that is easy to wipe clean, and that’s soft, padded and supportive. Being vacuum cleanable or wipe down friendly is important.

If you have a modern home, look for designs that are minimalist or scandi inspired. If you have an older home, you may look for neutral colourways such as dark greys or sandy beige colours.

What’s the best playmat for my baby's tummy time?
A mat that gives your baby firm, even support and “hugs” their body is best for tummy time. Look for a mat that has firm padding to cushion their movements, and provides a soft landing for any slips or falls as they learn to crawl and walk.

The Mooshy Mat can be used for both tummy time floor play, and also as a loungeroom or playroom rug, making it a versatile choice.

What should I look for when purchasing a playmat?
If you want aesthetic designs, The Mooshy Mat offers clean, modern patterns, while the “Power of Mother Earth” incorporates indigenous heritage - design by renowned Aboriginal artist Davinder Hart.

As a busy family- we think that comfort and support matter most- it's important to check the foam specs of the play mat. For example, the Mooshy Mat has 35 density memory foam and is 35 mm-thick - it has a higher density foam than many other mats. This means it will have a firmer, more supportive feel under foot and will have a slower "rebound".

If you need waterproof and easy to wipe down, TPU mats like Grace and Maggie are great for quick clean-ups after spills and accidents.

If you are looking for a mat that has sensory textures, the Muffik range are great. They come in "puzzle piece" shapes that fit together, and have a variety of different textures, shapes and feels. These are great for walking on as a sensory activity.
