Body Socks allow your child to move their body in a variety of ways while incorporating the sensory experience of deep pressure therapy. The Body Sock by Sensory Matters is excellent for children with autism, ADHD and sensory processing issues. The Body Sock provides a calming, safe haven for a child who is overloaded with sensory input and who needs an opportunity to self-regulate their emotions.
The high quality, translucent yet resistive fabric of the body sock creates an unparalleled sensory experience. Body socks offer unlimited opportunities to improve proprioception (balance skills) due to the full body deep pressure they apply, while also increasing your child's gross motor skills. The action of pushing against the resistive fabric has the added benefit of creating a tactile experience for sensory seekers. Sensory Matters Body Socks are designed to allow the individual to have their head inside or outside, according to personal preference.
Made with a lycra nylon / elastene material, the body sock is a wonderfully stretchy fabric that can be climb into to then walk, run, jump, sit or crawl. Perfect for providing sensory, deep pressure input or for providing a quiet spot to feel calm and secure. The body sock is velcro-free, so there are no scratchy feelings or unpleasant noises during use.
Each body sock features a specially designed front closure, which allows your child to independently enter and exit their body sock (have a look at the video below!
