Fibre Optic Sensory Lighting - safe, touchable, colour-changing calm for sensory rooms, therapy spaces and bedrooms.

Our Fibre Optic Sensory Lighting creates a mesmerising, ever-changing light display that captures attention, soothes the nervous system and transforms any space into a calming multi-sensory environment.

Watch as 100 individual optic fibres glow, shimmer and cycle through soft colour changes - filling the room with gentle, immersive light that's as captivating as it is calming. Unlike standard LED strips, the fibres themselves are completely safe to touch with zero heat emitted, making this one of the few sensory lighting options suitable for children to handle directly.

Designed for sensory rooms, OT therapy spaces, calm corners, bedrooms and multi-sensory environments, this fibre optic kit is a staple recommendation from occupational therapists for children who benefit from visual and tactile sensory input.

  • 100 individual optic fibres - each glows, sparkles and changes colour independently
  • Completely safe to touch - fibres emit no heat whatsoever
  • Remote control included - change colours, speed and effects from across the room
  • 2 metre fibre length - drapes beautifully in corners, ceiling mounts or wall displays
  • Side-glow fibres with clear PVC cover for a premium sparkle effect
  • Perfect for sensory rooms, calm corners, OT clinics, bedrooms and classrooms
  • Pairs beautifully with our LED Bubble Tube for the full sensory room experience

Who it's for

Fibre optic sensory lighting is used widely across home sensory rooms, OT clinics, special education classrooms, calm corners and therapy suites. It may be beneficial for children and adults who:

  • Seek visual stimulation as part of sensory regulation
  • Benefit from calming, low-arousal lighting environments
  • Are working on visual tracking and focus
  • Experience anxiety, stress or sensory overload and need a decompression space
  • Enjoy tactile exploration of lights and textures (fibres are safe to handle)
  • Are building a sensory room at home, school or clinic

Recommended for ages 2 and up with adult supervision for younger children.

How to set up your fibre optic lights

Setup is straightforward and no tools are required:

  • The transformer box has a plug for a power wall outlet.
  • Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the remote control.
  • Use the remote to cycle through colours, set auto-change mode or hold on a single calming colour
  • The fibres can be gently gathered, spread or draped to suit your space
Safety

The fibre optic strands themselves do not emit heat and are completely safe to touch. All fibre ends are heat sealed.

The transformer box (light source unit) should be kept out of reach of young children and positioned on a stable, ventilated surface. Do not cover the transformer box during use.

Suitable for use in sensory rooms, bedrooms and therapy spaces. Adult supervision recommended for children under 3 years.
