We know the struggles of keeping hearing devices on babies and toddlers. The baby pilot cap (or hearing aid hat) is the perfect solution to prevent your child from attempting to remove their hearing aids.
The hearing aid pilot cap keeps your baby's hearing aid in place - allowing for optimum hearing, while reducing the risk of a lost hearing aid or any potential choking hazards.
Each cap is designed and custom made in Australia by Happy Hearing Australia.
As all children are different, we recommend choosing the size of the pilot cap based on the measurements of your child's head circumference rather than their age. Refer to size chart here
Medium: Approximate age: 6-12months, for head circumference measuring 42-46cm
Large: Approximate age: 1-2 years, for head circumference measuring 46.5 -50.5cm
Each hearing aid pilot cap is made of a stretchy and breathable fabric, made of: cotton 95% Lycra 5%. . Caps are all adjustable, with three snap closures that fasten under the chin.
Hearing Aid Pilot Caps are recommended to parents of hearing impaired babies and toddlers by Hearing Australia. Refer to our NDIS page for information about how to purchase your baby's pilot cap using your NDIS funds.
